Cobalt installs straight from the browser — no app store. You get a home-screen icon, a full-screen app with no address bar, and the part that matters on a shoot: boards you pin are stored on the device and open with no connection at all.
Cobalt now opens full-screen from its own icon, like any app. These are Apple's own steps — see the official guide. The Share route works the same on iPad.
Straight from Google's documentation — see the official guide. Samsung Internet and Edge offer the same option under their own menus.
Saved boards live in this device's browser storage. If the device runs critically low on space, the system may reclaim it — the board then shows "Removed by the system" in Settings and a single tap saves it again.
The installed app updates itself: every launch loads the newest version, and a long-running session shows a small "Cobalt was updated — Refresh" pill when a new release ships. No app store, no update queue.
